Frosty Friday at the Ford »

Fall Break

Students have the week off — or at least have the week away from campus.  Back in the day, Fall Break was just a long weekend. I also remember autumn being much farther along by that time, and a snowstorm during this week in 1979.

Today it’s 75, and disagreement among our trees about just what season it is:

Late summer on Founders Green

Fall Break is also a time for minor fixes to the physical plant.  Walkers in the habit of cheating sidewalk corners outside Lloyd will now be stepping on granite block.  No amount of diligence by the groundskeepers could keep this highly trafficked intersection green:
