Pictures are pretty hard to upload here, and I am often hesitant to pull out my camera on the street in Niamey, but at long last here are a couple of images of what I’ve been up to!

Hi Nick,
I’m enjoying reading your posts and your photos. Around 10 yrs. ago I had a small business called Sahara Imports, selling silver jewelry made by a Tuareg silversmith named Moussa who I met in Philadelphia. I learned a lot about the symbolism in the carvings and shapes of the jewelry, and have a great admiration for Moussa’s skill at his craft. I really appreciate your stories which are giving context to the symbolism that I learned about during that time.
Thank you and keep up the good blogs!

Mr. Camel, I don’t think we are in Paris anymore…!
Keep up the posting; it sounds like you are having an amazing time, and I am very jealous! (It seems like just yesterday you were packing your valises en route to Niamey…)
