Services
Reimbursement: 8th Dimension will reimburse students for travel costs incurred on individual service projects. However, it is important to note that students will be reimbursed only for public transportation or mileage, and not for parking or other costs.
P.E. Credit: Students can earn P.E. credit for volunteer work. To do so, they must first contact the athletic department, and then Marilou Allen.
Tutoring for Federal Work Study: Students for whom work study is an option can be paid for any hours they spend tutoring in an 8th Dimension program, please contact us for more information.
Grants and Fellowships: The Eighth Dimension Office offers two scholarships, the Gertrude Heller Grant and the Summer Serve Grant. The New Linkages program also offers service learning fellowships. Please contact the office for more information about these programs.
Individual Placements: 8th Dimension offers individual placements to students whose interests are not met by pre-existing 8D Programs. Interested Students should contact Marilou Allen for further information. For individual placements, transportation is always reimbursed.
