Hunger Week
Lea Moukarzel '10 | January 30, 2009Haverford students this year were eager to give up a meal at the dining center in order for the proceeds to go to OXFAM, an organization geared to end poverty and injustice. 391 students contributed a meal, raising an amazing $1,173. This surpasses last year’s amount, which had been the highest thus far. We would like to thank every student that partook in this event.
A second event that took place during Hunger Week was 8th Dimension’s annual Hunger Auction. The auction takes place on the GO Boards where students bid on items that have been donated by students, faculty, staff, and local businesses. The event raised $1024.50 in donation.
